200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Training in the Santa Cruz Mountains |
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Training in the Santa Cruz Mountains |
The training is divided into two parts. There is a 100-hour Yoga Therapy Foundations for Mental Health Professionals course designed to support you in integrating evidence-based yogic tools into your personal and clinical practice, and the 100-hour teaching techniques and methods module, which is designed to prepare you to guide others in group yoga practices with safely and with confidence & to qualify you to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour level teacher. The Teaching Techniques & Methods course, while it has a healing theme running through it, focuses entirely on the basic skills needed to lead non-therapeutic public yoga classes or work with private clients using a variety of yoga styles, including vinyasa flow, restorative, gentle, and yin. This portion of the training may include students who are not mental health professionals. |
We Will Explore:
The Ease approach to yoga teacher training centers on the cultivation and deepening of your own personal yoga practice, wherever you may be on the path; we can not authentically share with others that which we are not living ourselves. |
The setting for our training is in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and part of some training days is spent outside in intentional contact with nature. We have access to a private residence with 20+ acres of forest that is directly adjacent to a 2,500 acre state park. Weekend amping is available at a reduced rate for training participants. You can read more about the camping grounds here.
Our main training site is at Ease Mountain Yoga & Nourishing Arts in Ben Lomond, California, a 10 minute drive from our outdoor classroom. There is a full-service grocery store and a coffee shop within walking distance of the yoga studio. We are located 60-90 minutes from the western & southern San Francisco Bay Area, about 70 minutes from SFO & 60 minutes from the San Jose Airport.
