The Ease Mountain Yoga 825-Hour Yoga Therapy Training is a rigorous 3-year, part-time program that provides a strong foundation for current yoga professionals to pursue a career in the therapeutic application of yoga in an array of practice settings.
Program Information This course is for yoga teachers who have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program from a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school (RYS), have at least one year of experience as a yoga teacher, a minimum of one year of personal yoga practice, and can provide references from their current and past yoga teachers.
Please note that this training is academically rigorous. While an undergraduate degree is not necessary to apply, trainees need a strong intellectual curiosity, a strong aptitude for writing and reading, and solid study skills.
The course supports and is designed to comply with the educational standards and competencies set forth by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) for the training of yoga therapists, and we are in the beginning stages of the accreditation process. This includes an in-depth evaluation of our curriculum, faculty, and program details.
The course is delivered in a cohort format, with each training group moving through the program requirements together. Each group begins with a 5-day opening intensive in April, followed by six full weekends of training each month through October each year. We meet Friday evenings through late Sunday afternoons.
The training takes place in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, and the majority of the training hours each year are in-person. Our primary training location is Ease Mountain Yoga, a studio and training space in the town of Ben Lomond, located about 75 minutes from the San Jose Airport and about 90 minutes from SFO. A portion of the training is delivered via distance learning, both live and self-paced.

The total tuition is paid over three years, There are monthly payments plans and competitive scholarships available. The cost of tuition does not include travel, lodging, or meals.
